The property is located inside Studio Canova near Via del Corso. The building was acquired by the neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova at the beginning of the 18th century. The artist organized a large studio, a real old-fashioned workshop where the sculptor worked together with numerous collaborators.
Archaeological study finds were also hosted, which are now partially walled into the external walls of the building.
Today the building is private, but under state protection since 1953 for its historical and artistic interest. In 1978 it was transformed into an art gallery.
